Nine others named to CS360 Primetime Performers Honor Roll, for week of Aug. 27-Sept. 2.

Florida State sophomore defender Kristin Grubka (Melbourne, Fla.) headlines the week-3 edition of the CS360 Primetime Performers of the Week for Division I women's soccer, as selected by CollegeSoccer360.com (10 total honorees, listed below). Grubka is the CS360 Primetime Player of the Week for Aug. 27-Sept. 2 and is joined by nine others on the Primetime Performer Weekly Honor Roll for the third week of the 2012 season.

Grubka impacted the action at both ends of the field for the top-ranked Seminoles, who won a hard-fought battle versus arch-rival Florida (1-0) before besting the College of Charleston, 4-0. She pushed into the attack to register the winning goals in each game, with both coming on set-piece headers (first via a throw-in vs. the Gators, then off a corner-kick service against Charleston) – nearly matching her career goal total (3) entering the week. Grubka played all 180 minutes during the weekend, as bark of an FSU back line that yielded only seven shots on goal spanning the two shutouts.

... Selection for the Division I women's CS360 weekly awards is based on any/all of the following "primetime" criteria (i.e. not solely based on raw stats):

• Performed at a high level in a game that is key to the team's postseason achievements, typically in a game involving a top-50 team from the CS360 Composite National Rankings (or in a game involving a conference favorite from a league not represented in the CS360 top-50).

• In general, preference is given based on the quality of the opponent, contribution to team success and other situational factors involved in the player's accomplishments.

• Exhibited strong leadership and/or involved in clutch performances, such as gamewinning goals, noteworthy comebacks, late scores, momentum-shifting play, all-around performance, team spirit, etc.

• Overcame adversity or extreme circumstances (for the team and/or individual).

• Bonus consideration is given for key performances away from team's home field and/or against a traditional rival.

The 10 week-3 honorees include a rare sixth-year senior, a fifth-year senior, three conventional seniors, two juniors and three sophomores. They hail from eight different home states/provinces: California, Florida, Massachusetts (2), North Carolina, Oklahoma, Quebec, Texas, Utah and Washington.

Listing of the 10 honorees follows below – as do player info. capsules (with action photos) at bottom of page (head shots in right sidebar).
