VIRGINIA MIDFIELDER MORGAN BRIAN TABBED WEEK-12 TOP PRIMETIME PLAYER
Cavs sophomore talent joined by 23 others on CS360 Primetime Performers Honor Roll for Oct 29-Nov. 4.

Virginia sophomore attacking midfielder Morgan Brian (St. Simons Island, Ga..) – who scored her first three goals of the season and added an assist during UVa's clinching pair of wins at the ACC Championship – has been selected as the top honoree for the week-12 CS360 Primetime Performers of the Week for Division I women's soccer, as selected by CollegeSoccer360.com. Brian is the CS360 National Primetime Player of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4 and is joined by 23 others in compsriing the Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll for the 12th week of the 2012 season (see below for complete list w/ brief notes, while action photos are at bottom of the page with player capsule info. to be added later; headshots in right siebar).

The week leading into the NCAAs always produces plenty of candidates for the Primetime Performers Honor Roll, as various teams are playing their way into the NCAA field or jockeying for seed position.

... Selection for the Division I women's CS360 weekly awards is based on any/all of the following "primetime" criteria (i.e. not solely based on raw stats):

• Performed at a high level in a game that is key to the team's postseason qualification (or conference title), typically in a game involving a top-50 team from the CS360 Composite National Rankings (or in a game involving a conference favorite/leader from a league not represented in the CS360 top-50).

• In general, preference is given based on the quality of the opponent, contribution to team success and other situational factors involved in the player's accomplishments.

• Exhibited strong leadership and/or involved in clutch performances, such as gamewinning goals, noteworthy comebacks, late scores, momentum-shifting play, all-around performance, team spirit, etc.

• Overcame adversity or extreme circumstances (for the team and/or individual).

• Bonus consideration is given for key performances away from team's home field and/or against a traditional rival.
