PRIMETIME PLAYER OF THE WEEK
... St. Mary's Senior Goalkeeper Doug Herrick

Doug Herrick A 250

St. Mary's (Calif.) senior goalkeeper Doug Herrick (Seattle, Wash.) – who excelled while facing plenty of action during NCAA road wins at nationally-ranked Cal State Bakersfield (1-0) and #8 seed UC Irvine (2-1; 2 OT) – is the top honoree among the CS360 Primetime Performers of the Week for Division I men's soccer , as selected by CollegeSoccer360.com for NCAA 1st/2nd-round NCAA games during the week of Nov.14-20, 2011. Herrick (pictured at right), the CS360 Primetime Player of the Week, is joined by eight other Division I players on the Primetime weekly honor roll.

Herrick, who also was a Primetime Performer honoree a week ago (after leading Gaels to WCC title), stopped 8-of-9 shots he faced during the pair of tense games, also defensing 27 corner kicks and 27 total shots in 204 minutes of action. He nearly extended his shutout streak to four games at Irvine, but the Anteaters forced overtime with an unsettled scrum goal in the 84th minute.

The other eight honorees include: Charlotte 5th-year midfielder T.J. Beaulieu (Apex, N.C.) ... South Florida freshman midfielder Wesley Charpie (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) ... Delaware sophomore defender John Dineen (Tralee, Ireland) ... New Mexico senior midfielder Michael Green (Strongville, Ohio) ... Rutgers senior forward Ibrahim Kamara (North Brunswick, N.J.) ... Indiana sophomore midfielder Nikita Kotlov (Indianapolis, Ind.) ... Akron sophomore forward Darren Mattocks (Portmore, Jamaica) ... and Brown junior defender Dryan Remick (Inverness, Ill.).

Player info. on all nine Primetime honorees is included below, as are action photos (headshots of each player are located in the right-sidebar).

... Selection for the Division I men's CS360 weekly awards is based on any/all of the following "primetime" criteria (i.e. not solely based on raw stats):

• Must have performed at a high level in a game that is key to the team's postseason success and advancement.

• In general, preference is given based on the quality of the opponent, contribution to team success and situational factors involved in the player's accomplishments.

• Exhibited strong leadership and/or involved in clutch performances, such as gamewinning goals, noteworthy comebacks, late scores, momentum-shifting play, all-around performance, team spirit, etc.

• Overcame adversity or extreme circumstances (for the team and/or individual).

• Bonus consideration is given for key performances away from team's home field and/or against a traditional rival.
