WASHINGTON has helped the Explorers go undefeated (12-0-1; 4-0-0 A-10) and climb into the national rankings, with La Salle outscoring the opposition 30-1 this season. Dayton (cs360 #18) was far-and-away the team's toughest opponent faced thus far and the Flyers were less than 10 minutes from victory on Friday, Oct. 7 – before Washington calmly placed a penalty-kick try into the right side of the goal to ultimately force overtime. The extra session was a quick one, as Washington scored again – this time on a 30-yard shot that beat 'keeper Katherine Boone and tucked under the crossbar (91:39).

Two days later, Washington helped set up Dani Allizzo's early goal vs. Xavier (13') and tacked on her third goal of the weekend for a 3-0 cushion early in the second half (55'; 5-0 final). La Salle already has tied the school record for wins in a season and is riding an 11-game winning streak.

Washington currently ranks second on the team with 19 points (8G-3A) in 13 starts, with four gamewinning goals. She and her teammates already have posted five wins by one-goal margins and have yielded only 41 shots-on-goal (3.2 per game). The Explorers have fashioned quite a turnaround from 2010, when they finished only a couple games above .500 (11-9-2) and went 4-4-1 in conference play.

A second team all-A10 performer in 2010, Washington racked up 12G-3A as a freshman while appearing in 21 games and starting 14 (she also earned A-10 all-rookie and all-tournament honors a year ago). She was a youth-soccer standout with the Hiberian Express FC club program and Pennington Prep.
