PRIMETIME PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Memphis junior midfielder Mark Sherrod
Memphis junior midfielder Mark Sherrod (Knoxville, Tenn.) – the nation's leading goalscorer – scored with quality and quantity over the past few days, earning him top honors among the CS360 Primetime Performers of the Week for Division I men's soccer (listed below), as selected by CollegeSoccer360.com for games during the week of Oct. 24-30, 2011. Sherrod, the CS360 Primetime Player of the Week, led the Tigers to a key 3-2 Conference USA win over Central Florida (cs360 #13), scoring twice in that game (on a volley and leftfooted strike) while adding a header assist that led to a teammate's goal on the doorstop. Earleir in the week, Sherrod – who has two years of eligibility remaining after the 2011 season – scored both goals in a 2-1 road win at Central Arkansas. His nation-leading 19 goals are a Memphis single-season record.

... Selection for the Division I men's CS360 weekly awards is based on any/all of the following "primetime" criteria (i.e. not solely based on raw stats):
• Must have been playing in a game involving a top-40 team from the CS360 Composite National Rankings (or in a game involving a preseason conference favorite/leader), or performed at a high level in a game that is key to the team's postseason qualification/participation.
• In general, preference is given based on the quality of the opponent, contribution to team success and situational factors involved in the player's accomplishments.
• Exhibited strong leadership and/or involved in clutch performances, such as gamewinning goals, noteworthy comebacks, late scores, momentum-shifting play, all-around performance, team spirit, etc.
• Overcame adversity or extreme circumstances (for the team and/or individual).
• Bonus consideration is given for key performances away from team's home field and/or against a traditional rival.
