Dynamic Duos

UPDATED: as of games on Oct. 28, 2010

By Pete LaFleur (editor@collegesoccer360.com)

The 2010 season has not yet featured the blockbuster scoring duos from the 2009 season (Stanford's Kelley O'Hara & Christen Press; UCLA's Lauren Cheney & Sydney Leroux, etc.) – but five teams currently hold the unique distinction of having two double-digit goalscorers (through games as of Oct. 28, 2010).

Marlborough Jackson celebrate

Nebraska's sophomore duo of Morgan Marlborough (#15; 16G-11A) and Jordan Jackson (#16; 10G-9A) are on the verge of becoming the first pair of teammates in Division I women's soccer to each have double-digit goals and assists.

The 10 players referenced on this page include two who individually have totaled double-digit goals and assists in the 2010 season (only one other player in all of NCAA Division I women's soccer currently is on that elite short list):

• Nebraska sophomore F Morgan Marlborough (16G-11A)
• North Carolina junior F Courtney Jones (10G-12A)

The only other player in the country currently with 10-plus goals and 10-plus assists this season is Central Florida sophomore forward Tishia Jewell (10G-12A). ... Note that CS360 is in the process of constructing a separate page for these "double-double" players.

Ohai Jones celebrate A230

North Carolina freshman Kealia Ohai (left; #7; 12G-5A) and junior Courtney Jones (right; 10G-12A) could be key factors in UNC's drive to repeat as NCAA champions.
